Marathon 2010

Yesterday I ran the marathon. It was so exciting to finally run the course I heard so much about. I think Stadium to the Sea captured so many historic LA landmarks, so that was really, really fun.

I wished they had provided public transportation to the start line. I think that would have created less traffic at the finish line. Santa Monica was crazy packed with cars and people. But the energy was so incredible!

I am also super thankful to all my friends and family who donated to support the relief efforts in Haiti. We raised $385!! I also had the opportunity to meet Tiffany Tam, Lindsey Marcus and Andy Baldwin. I'm glad i ran with team world vision!

Today it is so hard for me to walk. Stairs are torture. But it is all nothing compared to the thought of some kids having access to some food and shelter. Thanks everyone.

2 weeks to LA Marathon

I did not run 20 miles on Saturday. There was a flash flood warning so my team decided not to run. Since I already got out of bed at 6:30 on a Saturday, I decided to run until it started raining. thankfully I was able to do 18 miles before the downpour started. Also because most people were wary of the storm, the track was not crowded. Only one more long run before the marathon. If you haven't made a donation it's not too late.

I read an inspiring story of a nun who challenged her students to raise money for Haiti. If they raised more than $25,000 she would do her first ever jump. Here's the story
